In 1973, Nixon claimed that PBS was biased and focused more on East Coast culture. This claim was further made by the president H.W. Bush. All these came at a time when the traits of PBS were changing alongside Nixon. This presented some sought of cultural conflict in the field. Until 1995, the funds received by PBS came from the general public. In respect to this, programming with regard to journalistic integrity and sincerity was supposed to present a platform for free and fair speech. PBS occasionally received criticisms and intense security inspections. This came from concerned parties and authorities that held on to their policies and expectations. In a commendable way, it can be deduced that the PBS publications would be considered appropriate for prime time broadcast if brought out in Frontline format. As far as democracy is concerned, the public should be considered first by corporations such as PBS. The PBS and similar corporations hold center stage in the mainstream media. This means that more than 90% of the people have access to whichever information they broadcast. As far as media freedom and regulations apply, certain films ought not to be rejected either by government or relevant authorities. Investigations on aesthetic standards bring out PBS as one corporation that has endeavored to consider morality which to some extent should be recognized by political figures who are only concerned with critics.

From this, it is evident that documentary forms: technical, societal and institutional conditions do exist. It is further noted that these conditions have a significant impact on aesthetics based on the mode of presentation. The major concerns of programming include the morale and motivation. The PBS conditions however dictate the kind of products they give the general public. It ranges from morals to national security issues. This therefore influences the moral values that hold the societal interests at heart and the predetermined of missions of such corporations. To some extent, PBS’s public broadcasting strives to achieve a stated objective since they give out both cultural and educative programs to the nation. It can be concluded that PBS is more concerned with giving out real entertainment based on historical events that touch on almost all aspects of human and urban culture. These have actually proven to be relevant in social terms and public affairs.
