You need to include some elements in your report to show why the book you read was interesting. They include the type of book report you’re writing, the title of the book, the author of the book and the time when the story takes place. They also include the location where the story takes place and the names and a short description of the discussed characters.
BOOK REPORT: Write the Plot Summary
The goal of writing a plot summary for your book report is to explain your opinion on the story. Use it to give valid reasons you feel the plot is so sappy, unrealistic or compelling. The approach you take when analyzing the plot may determine the quality of your report. Don’t forget to give relevant examples and quotations from the book to back up your opinions.
BOOK REPORT: Write the Character Analysis
You need to explore the personality and physical traits of the characters in the book. You should also analyze how their actions affect the book’s plot. Explore the impression they leave to the reader. Remember also to state the positive and negative characteristics that they possess.
In your character analysis, use examples of conversations from the book to examine the way a character speaks. Explain the phrases he/she prefers using and the impacts of his/her words on other characters. Finish the analysis by tying all of your observations together and giving explanations on how the characters move the plot forward.
