This activity is located on the Centers for Disease (CDC) website: Solve the Outbreak (Links to an external site.)
The Centers for Disease Control is the nation’s health protection agency, working 24/7 to protect America from health and safety threats, both foreign and domestic. When a new outbreak happens, Disease Detectives are sent in to figure out how the outbreak started before it can spread further. Playing the role of an Epidemic Intelligence Service agent, you will work on fictional outbreaks based on real-life cases. Puzzle through the evidence and make tough decisions about what to do next: Do you quarantine the village? Talk to people who are sick? Ask for more lab results?
