Nursing Assignment on Culmination Paper

The Culmination Paper builds on the work you’ve done for the annotated bibliography. Like the annotated bibliography the focus is on vulnerable populations and health disparities. Your resources for the paper are the peer-reviewed literature included in the bibliography and other articles that you may have identified but not included in the bibliography. To prepare for this activity please complete all required readings and viewing before continuing and access the recommended resources on health disparities. These will be helpful to you in identifying a disparity on which to focus your paper. Refer to the Nursing Master’s Library Guide for additional assistance. You can locate your specific course by clicking on the dropdown menu under the Courses tab. This paper is an opportunity for you to show evidence of your learning throughout the course relative to:

  • the core concept of policy,
  • the policy process and population-based health disparities,
  • vulnerable populations, and
  • the opportunities for the master’s prepared nurse to take a leadership role in participating in the policy arena and addressing a specific issue.

An understanding of the relationship between the material and social determinants of health, vulnerable populations, and health disparities is essential to the successful completion of this paper.
