    The purpose of this assignment is to help students practice the analytical skills learned in the program to solve a real-world challenge.

     SLO5: Integrate the major theories, tools, and approaches in data analytics to identify data-driven insights for informed business process
    management.

     Develop clear objectives in establishing an analytical strategy based on a project business question
     Develop a process of implementing analytics initiative
     Develop and then progressively elaborate the project scope, resources, activities, and schedule
    A. Draft Project Proposal Description
     Select a topic that poses challenges on data governance, business leadership, ethical issue or social responsibility; it can be on any
    domain area such as for example political, private business, social, educational, environmental or economic that you believe data
    analytics can help solve. The idea is to demonstrate how data analytics can shed light on any of the challenges mentioned above.
     Articulate in an essay, the significance and implications of the work in data analytics related to the selected topic in terms of
    addressing challenges in a local, national or global context.
     Include the literature review on the selected topic or issue to back-up your choice, argument and proposed solution (at least 3 peerreview articles).
     Include the description of the problem and how you plan to solve it (method/approach).
     The draft project proposal will be submitted on TurnItIn and should not have more than 25% of similarity
     Note that this similarity threshold applies to similarity with your classmates work and minor similarities with other sources. Your
    grade will suffer if you have not used in line citations appropriately and/or have not rephrased material in your own words (quoting
    references is allowed, but following guidelines established on APA notation)
    B. XN Presentation
     You can use any form of presentation tool such as PowerPoint or Prezi. You can include voice-over or notes, if you like. The
    presentation should not exceed more than 10-12 slides or 10 minutes, at most. Include Introduction, Method/Approach, Analysis
    and Conclusion. It should demo in a succinct way how the group solved the XN project challenge. It will be an individual solution to
    be submitted between week 8 through 10; by week 11 one version must be chosen to represent the group solution (yes, it can and
    should be finalized by the group).
    C. XN Project
    The XN project with the sponsor will be evaluated based on the performance of the analytical tool or model you create for the sponsor,
    its usability, and the extent to which it meets the sponsor’s requirements. Refer to the rubric at the end of this document for more
    details on expectations.
    D. Individual XN Essay
     This is your contribution to the XN Project (deliverable), no more than two pages without screen shots.
     Critically analyze your learning experiences within this course, this program and outside, the program learning outcomes, course
    materials, your personal assumptions and biases to find meaningful connections that helped you form new perspective on how to
    tackle the topic challenge, as a graduate of this program (add this to the conclusion or introduction).
