Health Care Research Paper on Food Deserts in Shelby County

The student will analyze a current public health problem, the policies addressing the problem, the reasons current policies were chosen, the effectiveness of these policies in addressing demographic challenges associated with cost, access, and quality of care (MPHGCC 1), and develop recommendations for alternatives that may positively impact the problem. In the conclusion section, groups are expected to advocate for political, social or economic policies and programs that will improve health in diverse populations (MPHFC 14). The analysis should present the nature of the health problem, discuss existing policies addressing the need, suggest alternative strategies that might be considered and make some recommendations after evaluating policies for their impact on public health and health equity (MPHFC 15). The length of the final paper should be 10 pages (+/- 0.5 pages) (excluding the title page, tables, graphics, or references); double-spaced; with 1-inch margins; using Times New Roman or Georgia font; 12 font size; contain 15+ references, and be written according to the American Medical Association (AMA) or American Psychological Association (APA) style. The quality of the student’s analysis, the clarity of presentation, and the proper use of language will all affect the grade. Further grading guidelines for the final paper will be provided.
