The first video shows you an example of a first child protective investigation. This goes hand-in-hand with the chapter assigned (Chapter 8 – Responding and Listening to the Families we have been assigned). Some of you are already in the field. Think about the way you handle your own interviews. How does the method observed compares to what you already do? If not, in what ways can you improve to establish a healthy relationship with those who you serve. If you’re not in the field, think about how you will do these interviews, its structure, and what you’ve learned. The rest of the resources will introduce you to FPS (Family Preservation Services) and WAS (Wrap Around Services). As you go into the field, these two services are important in providing assistance to your families. Please take notes and watch the resources. They are essential to your learning.
