Case study on Disneyland Resort Paris

Basic case analysis rubric. Use the supplied guide to SM case analysis for a few tips regarding case write-ups.

For a typical brief, I generally use the following format:

  1. Identify and analyze the main issue(s) of the case study (often there is more than one). What is occurring? Why is it occurring? Why is it an impact to the business?
  2. Generate some possible solutions the business could implement in order to address the challenges you previously identified. Make sure they are logical and described in enough detail that there are no big questions left unanswered. For example, don’t just say that “the company needs to use more marketing,” an answer like this would not give any real direction to a manager. Instead a more complete answer would be something like this: “Company X is missing out on revenue from the 18-25 age demographic, they should invest in click-through advertising on both Etsy and Tumblr.”
  3. Describe what you feel would be a good implementation plan. How much is this going to cost? What other resources will be needed? Who will need to be involved? What challenges will the company face in implementing your solutions and how can they be overcome?
