Air travel is considered to be the fastest and most convenient means of transport. It has facilitated social progress, global trading, connecting developing and urbanized states enhancing tourism and connections between people and their cultures.  However, these have resulted to social changes from increasingly widespread air voyages over time (Bishop & Grayling, 2003, p.63).

Social Changes

1. Changing Styles: Due to increased air travel companies internationally, airline workers and attendants have started using stylish uniforms and in-flight amenities to attract customers. These social changes have reflected on the social attitudes that aim to entertain travelers (Bishop& Grayling, 2003, p.63).
2. Travel Preferences: Airline companies have been compelled to adopt strategies to accommodate the changing customer trends in the leisure segment. Travers greatly prefers companies that provide more comfort, and other airline packages that the customer find satisfying such as entertainment and Wi-Fi.
3. Livelihood Standards: There has been improved living standards in isolated and remote regions.  Poverty has been alleviated through tourism, since foreigners have flight access to such areas across various countries (Bishop& Grayling, 2003, p.64).
4. Interracial marriages and Cultural Experiences: Wide choice and affordable airline flights have made easier for travelers to have access to destination around the globe, where they meet different people from distinguished cultures, resulting to interracial marriages and adoption of different cultures.

               Aviation enables travelers to have new adventures resulting to international business relationships, economic growth and global togetherness. However, increasing consumer demand in aviation business presents major problems in overall shipping industry. The various modes of transport faces varied consumer requirements, which seek to be fulfilled in transportation industry, as travelers are driven by preference, travel worthiness and comfort.
