The power of different individuals or organizations to persist the extreme conditions that arise a result of natural disasters in a community is one of the most important adaptations in a given ecosystem. Resilience is mostly evident in the ecosystems that are not locked into specific strategies and have diverse resources.The communities should learn to adhere to the adverse changes that are a result of the calamities and learn to stand them whenever they occur. The reality is that very few neighborhoods, towns or cities completely shut down and die because they have the ability to adapt to the changes. This explains the what role the resilience plays in the community. It ensures that the community continue its activities no matters the challenges brought about by the variables.
Resilience should be considered a collective responsibility due to the increased rate of disaster. Some of the stakeholders include the government who play an important role in ensuring that the states resilience to dealing with disaster is kept strong. They are obligated to advance and device the mechanisms which could be applied in case of the occurrence of the environmental hazards and create awareness on how to evaluate jeopardy and reduce their acquaintance and susceptibility to hazards.For instance, the government of Australia established a new national emergency management which had experts from different states who will be considering those lessons arising from recent bush fires and floods which have been a major disaster in the community of Australia.
The business community also perform a vibrant role in community resilience providing expertise and resources and other basic services that the community may need during the disaster. The third stakeholders are the individuals who are entitled to taking their share of responsibility to be able to prevent and prepare for the disaster. This therefore means that the stakeholders must work together in order to survive the natural calamities that may arise.
