            This article tries to establish whether there is a link between improved capacity to judgment and reaction towards stimuli when energy drinks are consumed together with alcohol. The research seeks to achieve its objectives by investigating the consumption of energy drinks by athletes and adolescents before exercises. A clinical study was used where two groups, study and control group were subjected to some exercises and tests were conducted on their blood to look at blood count and chemistry profile. The data collected was analyzed using statistical software (SPSS), thus this was a quantitative study. The research reached a conclusion that the consumption of energy drinks before exercises did not prove beneficial to the body. The research established that energy drinks induced increases in some body activities especially immediately after intake. The consumption of energy drinks has become a global phenomenon with the growth of the multi-billion dollar energy drinks industry. It has though ushered in a new era where naturally occurring substances like caffeine that naturally would enter the body and into the bloodstream in regulated amounts, are being concentrated and introduced into the body far above its would be recommended dosage. It is with this background that the research will dwell on understanding the effects that the consumption of these energy drinks have on our bodies. As highlighted above, the eight journals/articles will be used to offer guidance and information on the matter. Analysis will seek to show that indeed energy drinks consumption has an adverse effect on the body and possible remedies will be offered.
