Sample Paper on Video in the Classroom

The video entitled “Top Ten Things You Do Not Learn About Teaching in College.” has various relevant statements and questions posed to the viewers meant for education purposes. The statements require thoughtful analysis to understand their meaning. This paper, therefore, presents how the sentiments in the video can be integrated as an educational tool in a classroom.

As per the video, various school life events have been captured for example; a question is posed that why do students find principle office scary? Therefore, it implies that the principal is the disciplinarian in the school, hence if a student makes any mistake, the principal is charged with the responsibility to punish the offenders. Following the question in the video, students can be advised not to make any mistake or face the harsh punishments from the principal. The statement shows that most students are scared of visiting the principal’s office as they are likely to fall victims.

Another statement is made in the video that “Always be good to your superintended”.  The statement can be used in a classroom to urge learners to respect their superiors within the school or outside the school compound. For instance, students are expected to correct some errors on their teachers without sounding rude. The statement can be used to encourage students to be respectful always. It is imperative for every student to show respect to teachers, fellow students and other people outside the school.

Another statement was also made in the video that “Your fitness program will consist of carrying your bags to and from school.” The statement can be used in a classroom to encourage students that nothing comes easily without putting extra efforts. The students have to be made aware that the process of learning requires sacrifices that have to be made to achieve better results from the school.
