This book talks about corporate communication and the means through which information is passed from one party to the other. Institutions in the corporate world must be very careful how they passed out this information. This is because a crisis affects the welfare of any business. Argenti therefore provides a detailed explanation and exploration of this topic. This is the reason as to why I chose the book (Argenti, 2013). The book was published a credible institution hence have been reviewed thoroughly. This gives it authority hence a credible source of information to use. It is also current in the sense that it was published in the year 2013. Thus, information contained in the article takes care of current information in this sector.

Barton is known for his contribution in crisis communication. This is the second publication in the same topic hence provide an in-depth knowledge or insight into organization communication. The source derives its authority from review and reference by researchers and institutions in this sector. This means that it has been widely referenced by institutions in the corporate and education sector. A crisis in organization can be arrested through proper and timely communication (Barton, 2013).I chose this book because it will be helpful in my research endeavors. It will provide background information about crisis communication thus a good source to use in conducting research. It is current having been published in the year 2013.

This source is a book and concentrates on leadership strategies in times of crisis. Moreover, building a team that will resolve some of the critical issues or crisis in organization is widely discussed in this book. An action plan requires that leaders and management be committed to spearhead changes that will oversee the entity overcome challenges.It is a current book because it was published in year 2011  (Bradt, Check, & Pedraza, 2011). The book derives command from the experience of the authors in writing leadership articles. Their publications have been featured in a number of researches. In addition, it was reviewed and published by a credible institution hence authoritative. The book offer diverse perspective on the issues of corporate leadership hence in line with my research.

This is a book that talks about corporate communication and organization reputation. The reputation of an institution is pegged on leadership strategies applied by leaders. Communication is therefore a powerful tool that allows an entity to send and receive important data from stakeholders. Thus, the article is important for my research endeavor (Carroll, 2013). The author of this book is well known in writing corporate issues hence authoritative.  This book is current and contains information that has happened in the recent past. This is the reason as to why I chose the article for my research. In addition, information contained in the book have been widely referenced and borrowed by researchers.

Coombs, W. T. (2014). Crisis communication: 3. S.l: Sage Publications Ltd.

Coombs is an authority having written a series of books. His work is therefore accredited and approved by publishers. The article concentrates on crisis communication that involves disaster, accident and inflation as examples of problems that engulf an entity. This insinuates that organization must prepare and communicate in advance before these events takes place (Coombs, 2014). Thus, the document will be of much help to me as I conduct my research. Coombs is therefore influential in research work on crisis communication. The article was published in the year 2014 hence current. The end result would be in-depth research paper due to the use of information from this article.

This is a book written a about social media communication on emergency issues. Social media can be very helpful in conveying messages to the intended persons. However, there is need to uphold ethics in using these platforms as stipulated by the author. Timely and quick decisions are made through assisted programs that allow or offer insight crisis management (Crowe, 2012). This book has been cited by many institutions and persons in this field as well as in diverse fields. Therefore, the book is extremely helpful in carry out research endeavor. It is also current due to the fact that it was published recently in 2012.

This is a book that is structured along communication in times of crisis. The authors provide a new perspective in regards to crisis communication. Crisis communication can be detrimental to organization in the sense that managers may not take appropriate action on time. This may affect the way an institution survives during this period. The authors corroborate with Carolina University in their research hence authoritative. The involvement of this article in my research offer completely new perspective in regards to crisis communication (Dunn, Eble, & East Carolina University, 2012). Thus, it is an essential source of information to integrate into my research. In addition, it was published and reviewed in 2012 y a credible institution.

Eder, M. K. (2011). Leading the narrative: The case for strategic communication. Annapolis, MD: Naval Institute Press.

This is a book and deals with strategic communication. Strategic form of communication runs from the top management to the junior employees or stakeholders. This means that the manner in which an entity communicates its crisis information follows a downward trend. Managers make decision and instruct employees to work out the plan. Managers need to exercise power in the best way to avoid resistance from within the entity. The author is well known for writing a variety of books available in public libraries (Eder, 2011). Therefore, he is an authority in this field. At the same time, the articles torches on communication which is part and parcel of the topic at hand, thus, I chose the source.

Fiedler discusses social communication in organization context in this book. The book was published by psychology press in the year 2013 upon review. This means that the article is recommended and accredited to be used by researchers. Thus, I found it important to involve and integrate information from the book to my research. I will be looking at crisis communication in my research hence the article will offer assistance. In social communication, parties tend to follow defined systems to convey message. This enables members to interact and work together in harmony (Fiedler, 2013). In addition, it considers current issues in corporate institutions that have changed the manner in which business used to be carried out in the past.

This can be an effective means of communication but it can also be detrimental if overused or misused. Data in this book is current hence important to feature it in my paper (Fincher et al., 2011). In the entertainment sector, technology has played a key role in development and growth of the industry. Therefore, the inclusion of this source is significant to the research topic.

This is a journal by Gumperz and discusses factors that affect communication. In addition, it offers solutions to these challenges by outlining the strategies applicable to these situations. Interethnic communication is widely discussed by the author. Ethnic communities or groups within the community/ organizations react differently to issues of communication hence need to apply diverse strategies in sorting issues out. Some of the strategies offered here are situational in nature and requires good timing (Gumperz, 2011). This means that people in leadership should be able to analyze and understand the social behaviors of individuals in the country.  The social and cultural factor in an entity determines the path to be followed by players.

This book is structured along technology use in crisis management. The use of technology in this sector is a current trend that has emerged in the recent past. Therefore, it is a current article having been published in year 2013. Hayes and Kotwica are renowned writers in this field. Therefore, their writing/work is commanding in nature and widely referenced by researchers (Hayes & Kotwica, 2013). In this book, the author makes some assumptions that all factors are kept constant during transmission hence little distractions from outside sources. Thus, the book is extremely helpful in gathering background data to use for research endeavors. I, therefore, settled on using the publication for my research because it is not only relevant but also current.

The books discuses corporate leadership and management of crisis communication. These two issues are interconnected because leadership affects the strategies applied in corporate communication. In addition, the method through which information is shared between parties depends on leadership style prevalent. Corporate leadership is therefore central to this research. Thus, the article is relevant and current (Hwang, 2014). These are the reason as to why I made a decision to use it for further research. The authority comes from referencing where the book is one of the most read texts. In addition, scholars borrow a lot from the text hence credible. Leadership is cognizant of threats to power, resistance and misuse of resources. Thus, utilization of various strategies increases possibility for success for an entity.

This book exemplifies and discusses communication in the health context. There are diverse ways through which data/information can be transferred from one party to the other. In the health sector, communication changes in the sense that the tone is soft (Institute of Medicine (U.S.), 2012). Thus, incorporating the source into my research would be healthy as it offers new ideas. These ideas will be used to carry out research on my topic.In regards to current, the article was published in 2012 and written by accredited medical institution. Therefore, the author provides examples and case studies of institutions that have experienced ethical dilemma in consideration to the application of communication. This is a new perspective in regards to communication endeavors in organization (May, 2013). Therefore, inclusion and engagement of information contained in this article into my research will make it credible. Thus, I intend to borrow a lot from this book. In regards to authority, the article derives its authority from the publication point of view. The publishing institution is accredited for its work hence affirms that the article is credible.

Ruff and Aziz in this book concentrates on communication in business organizations. When a crisis is about to strike a business, managers and people in positions of leadership should be careful in dealing with information. This information is quite relevant to my studies and would like to engage the author’s point of view into my research. This book features theoretical strategies and approach to crisis communication. In addition, it offers limitations and advantages of these theories an action that makes it a credible source. It is used by many researchers in doing their work. Scholars also finds the article to be commanding hence make reference. Moreover, the authors take advantage of different forms of communication to drive their point home (Sellnow & Seeger, 2013). This is in addition to the use of these theories in popular entities in the world. My intention is to use the document and refer to the information contained in it. This is due to its wide importation of data by scholars.

To repair an image for an institution that has suffered defamation or any other kind of crisis that touches on the organization image becomes a difficult task for an institution due to the wide damage caused by the news. On the other hand, the book has many reviews meaning that I have been widely read by scholars in addition to referencing. Moreover, information contained is relevant to crisis communication topic.

The article is a Journal. It focuses on three stages in business that includes recovery, response, and continuity. All businesses are concerned with recovery from a crisis. The journal also touches on the role of a crisis team that forecasts and prepares for the worst in case it occurs.On the other hand, the article attracts criticism from various scholars who finds this approach to crisis communication subjective. Thus, I decided to use this article for my research as it offer insight to crisis communication. These are the reasons as to why I chose the article.
