Employers practicing employee empowerment practices give staffs an authoritative opportunity to make decisions, solve issues, and make suggestions implemented to reduce work challenges. I interviewed my sister working at a consultant company specializing in managerial skills. She affirmed her employer advocates for staff motivation, empowerment, and teamwork through diverse mechanisms and practices to encourage staffs. Through teamwork, staffs are empowered to offer suggestions on improving managerial practices (Kevin 1). They are also offered self-improvement rewards to foster growth and encourage self-failure through creation of dynamic ideas from innovation. Direct channels of communication are utilized to define staff roles and seek accountability reducing work conflicts and challenges. This supports independence among employees showing appreciation towards their efforts. Consequently, employees record improvements in their performance levels. They feel motivated and appreciated raising their morale to work. As a result, they produce high quality results with minimal supervision as they understand and execute individual roles (Dewettinck and Maaike 281).

She described channels of communication at her work place as both informal and formal. However, they are clearly defined with direct and open accessibilities. Staffs are encouraged to communicate their suggestions and ideas freely with supervisors, directors, and managers. This improves the firm’s efforts to be creative and innovative in offering higher quality managerial practices. I conducted a research on managers using channels of communication to conduct conflict resolution (Richard 109). It affirmed my sister’s affirmations that fair and unbiased conflict resolution differ among employees such as juniors, subordinates, and managers. Her managers change conflict resolution channels as you move the management ladder due to differing work issues and challenges. She described this method as effective as it practices specialization raising employees’ morale by ensuring everyone feels relevant and appreciated. Thus, I would recommend this method for other firms to adopt.
