The inclusion of each principle discussed below will ensure that changes that happen in the organization can sensibly be connected to the action intervention.
Leadership Goals and Organization’s Functions
While leadership goals help to build a system through which leaders can channel or operate resources, organizational functions provide the platform upon which such goals can be achieved (Aitken & Higgs, 2010). Common leadership goals in organizations include motivation, sponsoring advancement, investment growth, the creation of awareness, and security. It is the responsibility of a leader to ensure that every team member is motivated by informing them that they are respected and appreciated for whatever duty they perform.
Accordingly, a leader should be in a position to establish genuine opportunities and devote to sponsor them. In addition, a good leader is committed to the growth of the organization as well as looking for ways to which an employee or commodity can be exposed. A leader also strives to assure his team members of their security. In order to achieve these goals, the leader utilizes both the organization’s common functions such as marketing, operations, customer service, information technology, warehousing, finance and human resource (Aitken & Higgs, 2010). Organizational leaders invest heavily in these departments due to their significance in the success of the company.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the Organizational Process
An Organization’s Key Performance indicator is a measurable value that indicates the effectiveness of an organization in achieving major business objectives. Companies use KPIs at different levels to assess their success at attaining their targets. On the other hand, the Organizational Process involves the steps adopted in determining what tasks are required in order to attain the organization’s target. The organizational process involves 5 steps which act in unity to perform tasks in order to achieve goals. (Mella, 2012 These steps include; Analysis of plans and objectives, determination of work activities requires to meet objectives, classification, and grouping of necessary tasks into manageable units, assigning duties and delegating authority and designing a hierarchy of relationships.
Leadership Philosophy and Methods by Women in Educational Leadership
While the public and private responsibility of women develops in the entire world, women are practicing leadership roles at new magnitudes and in the new field such as education. Jasinskiene, 2013The road to leadership responsibilities is an outcome of women desiring to hold senior positions. Consequently, a recent increase in the male-dominated field of education has seen a change in leadership strategies. It has been observed that women are more compassionate and organized and therefore less likely to become intimidating, unlike their male counterparts. (Senior, 2016) The compassionate nature of women while addressing educational matters promotes less unrest of students in institutions of higher learning. There is a common understanding that women possess better relationship and building skills to nurture growing minds in institutions of learning. The indisputable nature of being better communicators enhances crystal clear communication between leaders and their team members, consumers and clients.
The Crucial Role of System Thinking
System thinking is a critical ingredient of a learning organization. It is a way of critical thinking through which the relationship between parts of a system is analyzed in order to determine the situation for sound decision-making (Tidd & Bessant, 2016). Due to the complexity of today’s world of business organization managers must grapple with technological advancement together with an ever increasing world economy in which events occurring at one end of the world impacts on their organizations. Making successful decisions is more challenging in this courageous world. Systems thinking offer a model of decision-making that assist the organization to effectively handle change and adapt.
