As a psychological reaction, it gives an individual a different experience and negative perception of how certain events and actions can be harmful triggering a particular reaction.

Though we may refer to it as a psychological impact, these impacts are cross cutting as they have strongly effects on the physiologically being of an individual affecting activities such as heart rate, breathing, hormone secretion, digestive system, blood pressure, muscular tension and bodily movements collectively referred to as the biological system.
There is quite an extensive account on the various impacts of these connotations and approaches which can be further be seen as a sort of creeping current just beneath the surface of some individuals as some of these activities tend to make life be viewed as a stress of its own kind. Among the impacts these aspects of fatigue and stress can cause psychosomatic disorders whose end results include drinking and drug problems and other psychological difficulties making a great number of people who are in these state of have a comparably unhealthy life coupled with habitual suffering which might lead to making some unintended actions that might not be easy to handle as even a change in the environment imposes even further harm (Helmreich & Foushee, 1993).In the society today with the latest development in technology where individuals have found out new methods of handling situations, it has been realized that certain situation can be handled unlike in the ancient days when particular reactions had their own perils and their handling was somehow primitive in nature.
It is a general observation that stress adversely affects intellectual functioning such as analytical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making due to restrictive effect on analytical thinking flexibility decreases and so does the capacity for evaluating or even considering alternative actions (Helmreich & Foushee, 1993). Long- and medium-term perspectives are also affected, resulting in consequences of actions and decisions not being properly evaluated as there is a risk of being restricted to short-term solutions to imminent problems only, and tends to be linear, addressing partial problems as they occur instead of taking into account a broader perspective necessary for managing more complex courses of events. Decision-making done when an individual is in these state is re-active and not pro-active more so when it is a ominous form of stress reaction that hampers a realistic attitude is, when in the midst of a crisis, someone absurdly denies the severity of a situation or the difficulties that lay ahead.
