To get a satisfactory grade (S) – your Report MUST be a professionally formatted single document. It MUST to be a professionally formatted Report that could be used! It MUST contain a TITLE and have NORMAL size and style font, have page numbers and must NOT contain blank pages! References and bibliography are not required but the words have to be yours, DO NOT PLAGIARIZE, don’t just copy and paste words from the internet. It MUST also contain ALL of the following headings (each heading should have as a minimum one paragraph of 125-200 words):
Cover-page – It must contain: Name and location of College, Student Name, Student Id, Unit Code, Unit Name, Assessment Name, Assessment Submission Date and Name of Trainer
Document Title – At the top of the first page of the content-page you need to have a title
Introduction – explain the purpose of this report, what you did and where you took the EQ test.
Emotional Intelligence – Define EQ, explain emotional intelligence principles and explain the criticism of the theory. Explain how the use of emotional intelligence in the context of building workplace relationships can be useful.
EQ Self-Assessment Results – State and interpret the results of the tests
Analysis – Compare and contrast the results of the test with your own identification of your emotional strengths & weaknesses and your personal stressors and own emotional states as they are relevant to workplace situations. State if this EQ feedback has made you improve your EQ and if so, how and why. 
Emotional Triggers – Identify and analyse potential emotional triggers in workplace situations which may require determine appropriate emotional responses. Reflect and describe your own use of EQ in the workplace, if any. 
Cultural EQ – Identify cultural differences regarding expression of emotions that you have encountered and explain they should be handled in an Australian workplace. Describe the impact that cultural behaviours and beliefs may have on workplace interactions. 
Workplace EQ – Explain how EQ can be used to bring out strength in team members. Describe the relationship between emotionally effective people and the attainment of business objectives. Evaluate the impact of own workplace behaviours that demonstrate management of emotions.
Conclusion – State what you personally think about the theory of EQ. State what your impressions are of the EQ evaluation test and if it is accurate and useful. State if and how you will apply EQ in the workplace.

The Assessment
Team-work or group-work is NOT permitted for this assessment (this is to ensure authenticity of the work, that the learners has actually done it themselves and not relied on others). Plagiarism is NOT permitted and will NOT be tolerated. Plagiarism will result in a NYS (Not Yet Satisfactory) mark and a written warning (see student handbook which is available on the Home Page for further details).

If you have existing relevant work experience or completed existing previous studies that show competency in this unit, you may apply for recognition of prior learning (RPL). If you wish to apply for RPL, upload supporting documents and evidence to the evidence of prior learning folder (which can be found in: Profile | Learning Plan | Evidence of prior learning) and then notify your trainer/assessor.
You can access relevant legislation, regulations, standards and codes, workplace documentation and resources either online or in the Learning Resources Folder. The assessment must be uploaded to this platform in a PDF file with a maximum size of 5 Mb. The assessment project must be professionally formatted. If you are not certain of that meaning, you may access the self-paced lessons about document formatting which are in the "Supplementary Section" at the end of the course page.

Evidence Criteria
This exercise is about you demonstrating that you are able to; identify and use strategies to improve own emotional intelligence; reflect on personal attributes and consider the impact on others; adapt personal communication style to model behaviours, build trust and positive working relationships and to build understanding of emotional intelligence and to use inquiring and inclusive techniques, to develop understanding and skills that enhances your emotional intelligence.
To Satisfactorily (S) complete this assessment, you need to demonstrate that you are able to; explain emotional intelligence principles and strategies; describe the relationship between emotionally effective people and the attainment of business objectives; explain how to communicate with a diverse workforce which has varying cultural expressions of emotion and explain the use of emotional intelligence in the context of building workplace relationships.

Observation Checklist
In order to satisfactorily (S) pass this assessment, an assessor will check to ensure that ALL of the following points form part of your written report presentation. As such, in the report you MUST: in your own words and in 100-250 words:
• Define EQ and its shortcomings
• Rationally reflect on feedback received from a serious EQ test in regard to personal emotional strengths & weaknesses, personal stressors as they are relevant to workplace situations
• Identify own EQ (stressor, strengths & weaknesses)
• Identify potential emotional triggers in workplace situations
• Explain how cultural differences may impact on workplace interactions.
• Explain the value of EQ in a workplace
• Explain how EQ may be used effectively in a workplace
• Produce a professional document and incorporate appropriate vocabulary and grammatical structure (e.g. the document must have a title, paragraphs must have the same style throughout and normal size font, it must not have blank pages, it must be in portrait orientation, it must have page numbers, it must not have blank carriage returns, it must have normal margins, it must be in A4 and it must look good)
