Paul William Walker was an American film actor and model, born in September 12th 1973 in Glendale, California. His acting career can be traced back to a tender age where he featured in several TV commercials. His early days in acting are back in 1987 when he played the character of Prof. Bennet in Monster in the Closet. Besides, he also starred in Throb; a television series in 1986. The other television shows on which he made appearances in his early days also include Charles in Charge, Highway to Heaven, Diff’rent Strokes, and Who’s the Boss among others. His role in the Soap Opera; The Young and the Restless is yet another feature that opened doors to him in his future career.
Walker was the son of Paul William and Cheryl who were sewer contractor and fashion model respectively. His father was also a fighter who won the Golden Gloves award two times. In the 1960s, one of his grandfathers was employed by Ford Motor Company to race factory cars. Born in a family of five, Walker was the oldest and brought up in Los Angeles but attended high school and college in San Fernando Valley and Southern California respectively. His feature film debut in Meet the Deedles; a feature film earned him fame that landed him supporting roles in Varsity Blues, Pleasantville, The Skulls and She’s All That.
Walker’s breakthrough was in 2001 when he starred in the renowned action film; The Fast and the Furious alongside Vin Diesel. It is this film that established him as a notable film star and led to his role in the sequel 2 Fast 2 Furious in 2003. This landed him more leading roles in films like Into the Blue, Joy Ride, and Timeline. He also had a supporting role in the Flags of Our Fathers; a Clint Eastwood’s adaptation.
He went on to play leading roles in the next series of the action film; Fast and Furious. At the time of his death, he was filming Fast and Furious 7 whose release was slated for July 2014. The film will be completed by the help of his brothers Cody and Caleb and released in April 2015. He was set to play the role of Agent 47 in the adaptation of the Hitman film. Walker died in a car crash accident on November 30th 2013 in Valencia, Santa Clarita, California.
